Meeting with Jiawen@HCI

     Today, we met up with our external mentor of the project for the first time, Jiawen from Jurong Town Cooperation. Before the meeting, we conducted some background research on the project we are engaging in and Jurong Town Cooperation, the external organization that we are collaborating with. From our research, we discovered that Jurong Town Cooperation manage industrial sites and facilitate industrial development in Singapore. During the meeting, we clarified with him about our tasks and also proposed to him a few ideas. He also gave us an introduction about the product (Vertical Axis Wind Turbines) and the industrial park we would be working at (Clean Tech Park 1). He also told us about the limitations of the project which is the fact that the wind turbine contributes to a minimal amount of the electricity, which is negligible as compared to the amount of energy needed to run the whole industrial estate. Lastly, we were also briefed on the field trip.
